DIOR HOMME MENSWEAR S/S14

The last couple of years I've started to take a lot more interest in the menswear collections. I'll be the first person to admit that I wear mens items of clothing, they look cool, they fit well and they're quite often cheaper than women's versions.
Anyway, I don't need to say much to accompany this collection. There's been a few of the most recent menswear collections that have really stood out to me but for this one, it's something so inspiring to me with regards to fabric and palette. Even though this a Spring/Summer collection, it's got me looking forward to buying pieces for my winter wardrobe. For me these colours are the perfect partner for the grey winter months.
Credits to the Dazed and Confused website for these photos. Dazed always has the most beautiful examples of fashion photography that show a lot more than just a few pieces of clothing. Take a look at the full gallery here.

RECENT PURCHASES

So I thought I'd do a little post on my recent purchases. Firstly I finally got a new bag! I've been without a bag for so long and I'm so picky so I wanted to wait and find one that's just right but luckily I've found it, in the sales! I saw this bag on the Zara website in the sale section, reduced to £29.99 from £39.99. It's a faux black leather holdall type bag with braided handles and basically a really beautiful sack that I can carry around and fill up with rubbish I don't need. When it comes to a day to day bag, size matters.

I also brought two necklaces, the spiked one was from Topshop and it was only about £8.50 and it's just a nice short chain you can layer up or wear on it's own. I brought a small gold chain necklace to wear with it, believe it or not, from Claires and only £5.50. Everyone is rocking these massive gold chunky chain necklaces and to be honest I'm a little bored of them. However this dainty one is a little different and again I'll wear it alone or with other pieces.

The last thing I've bought was these Maison Martin Margiela lookalike rings from H&M. I've longed for the four MMM gold rings forever but unfortunately with my bank balance I was only able to get these. At only £3.99 I couldn't not buy them, I brought them in a the smallest size so I can wear them above my knuckles as midi rings.
I've lost a couple of them already but at that price I can always buy some more. I'll wear them like this most days or maybe just a couple on their own.

BRIGHTON

So I thought I'd just do a little post about my trip to Brighton the other day because I took some cute photos, only on my iPhone though so excuse the quality. I went to Brighton with my boyfriend to see our friend Elliot. Elliot's a fashion designer and for some reason he wants to use me for his next collection, not that I'm complaining, it's really an honor! I'll post the link to his website at the bottom of this post, you should definitely take a look at it if you haven't heard of him already. His designs are incredible and I'm so excited for his new collection. Anyway we went so that I could have a fitting for his new pieces, but that didn't take too long so we went for a little walk down to the pier. Our day involved a lot of eating, getting attacked by seagulls and the boys taking a dip in the sea. I also brought a gorgeous new bag which leads me onto my next post.
