For a long time I've wanted to start designing just a couple of pieces that I can work on just to get myself back in the swing of things since I left college. However I've been constantly changing my mind on what I want to do but I think I've finally found my little niche in which I can start designing bits. I've been having a look about doing research and looking for inspiration and I've found plenty f it luckily! It'll take me a while to get knuckled down and stuck in but once I am it's hard to pull me away! To be honest what I'll be making I'm purely making for myself to wear and other people like it that's a bonus, it's rare to find me in anything else but black, for me it's more about mixing up different textures. I very often say that I'm going to start wearing brighter colours and patterns, and while I flick through the pages of ELLE and lust over Mary Katrantzou's latest collection, I love bright clashing prints but I just don't think I could wear them!
However one thing I am loving is metallic and that sort of oil spill thing that's going on at the moment, do you know what I mean? So once the summer comes I'll probably start wearing lighter colours and I've already got my eye on the new Dr Marten's sandals which I'll definitely be wearing.
This is just a little catch up and I'll be getting stuck into drawing up some designs tomorrow so I'll post them on here in the next couple of days for you all to see!
Also just a quick note, once I've got my camera sorted I'll be posting a lot of street style posts, my own outfits and haul posts so there's something to look forward too!
